When should I consult a Doctor of Chiropractic?
Many people wait for pain or symptoms before they have their spine checked. Often times they have been to their medical doctor for the problem. It is a good idea to have your teeth checked before you have serious pain and need a root canal. It is a good idea to have your spine checked to see if you have problems before serious pain begins.
How long does it take to see results?

How is a Chiropractor different from my Medical Doctor?
The education of a Doctor of Chiropractic and a Doctor of Medicine is very similar during the basic sciences. Your medical doctor studies drugs and surgery while your Doctor of Chiropractic studies adjusting, nutrition, radiology and public health.
Because of this difference in education and focus, Kentucky State Law prevents medical doctors and chiropractors from reviewing each others claims to determine medical necessity. In other words, only a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic can determine if Chiropractic care is right for you.
If I start seeing a Chiropractor will I have to go for the rest of my life?
NO. How long you decide to benefit from chiropractic care is always up to you. I took my son to the dentist a couple of weeks ago. He had several cavities. That dentist told him that he would have to start brushing his teeth TWICE A DAY ,every day, for the REST OF HIS LIFE! Just like deciding to take care of their teeth, many people do decide to continue their chiropractic care to maintain their health.
At what age can I have my kids checked?
We see children as early as a few hours old. Research on bed wetting, colic, hyper-activity and Attention Deficit Disorders all do better when the nervous system is open. The problems that cause pain and discomfort as an adult often begin in childhood.
Is Chiropractic Safe?
Let’s look at the facts. On July 26, 2000, the Journal of the American Medical association reported that, according to John Hopkins, medication errors are the third leading cause of death in the United States. Sept 12, 1999, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that 120,000 die from medical errors in hospitals every year.
The Philadelphia Inquirer continued by reporting that the same time;
43,649 people die in auto accidents,
14,986 die from falls,
3,959 die from drowning,
and 329 die in commercial aviation accidents.
They continued that there are three deaths from falling meteorites, one death from falling out of bed and ONE serious adverse effect from Chiropractic Care. Note: this says serious injury NOT death.
The risk of serious injury in a Chiropractic office is one in 10 million. The risk of serious injury taking an aspirin is thousands of times greater.
